OTT and Osprea compete to supply armoured personnel carriers to AMISOM

The South African armoured vehicle manufacturer OTT Technologies recently won a contract in Somalia after clinching similar deals in Burkina Faso and Mali. It has been going head to head with Osprea Logistics for peacekeeping contracts and deals involving donations by third-party states to struggling African armies.

Germany is stepping up its contribution to the fight against violent extremism in the Sahel by equipping the Malian army with some 30 Puma M36 armoured vehicles acquired from South Africa's OTT Technologies.
